Gulf Shores, AL – April 12, 2025 — Talk about making waves! On Saturday, April 12, Eco Clean Marine, in partnership with the Alabama Coastal Foundation and the Fort Morgan Civic Association, hosted a powerhouse coastal cleanup at Fort Morgan in Gulf Shores—and the results were nothing short of incredible.
In just three hours, a dedicated crew of 55 volunteers collected a whopping 458 five-gallon buckets of trash, weighing in at 2.29 tons. That’s right—over 4,500 gallons of waste cleared from our coastline in a single afternoon.
“This cleanup was our biggest one yet,” said Courtney Dombroski, Founder and CEO of Eco Clean Marine. “To see so many people come together for a common cause was both humbling and energizing. The amount of trash we removed speaks volumes about what we can achieve as a united community.”
From plastic debris and discarded fishing gear to unexpected oddities, the Fort Morgan team tackled it all with determination, teamwork, and plenty of smiles. Volunteers of all ages came ready to make a difference—and they absolutely did.
Special thanks go out to our partners, the Alabama Coastal Foundation and the Fort Morgan Civic Association, for their support and shared commitment to protecting Alabama’s treasured shoreline.
This is what environmental action looks like—real people, real teamwork, and real results.
Stay tuned: Eco Clean Marine has more cleanup events coming soon. Let’s keep the momentum going!
