Fort Walton Beach, FL – April 19, 2025 — On Saturday, April 19, the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island was buzzing with community spirit as Eco Clean Marine partnered with Visit Destin-Fort Walton Beach for a vibrant coastal cleanup event that brought out 300 volunteers in just two hours!

While the trash load was light—just 15 five-gallon buckets—the turnout was anything but. The message? Our community cares, and they’re showing up in numbers to protect the places we love most.

“It’s actually a good sign when there’s not a ton of trash to collect,” said Courtney Dombroski, Founder and CEO of Eco Clean Marine. “It means our efforts are working—and that visitors and locals alike are starting to treat our beaches with more respect.”

Volunteers of all ages came out with smiles, reusable gloves, and a shared mission: to keep our coastline clean and beautiful. With music, good vibes, and perfect weather, the event felt more like a beach party with purpose.

A big thank-you goes to Visit Destin-Fort Walton Beach for their amazing partnership and continued dedication to sustainability.

Sometimes, a small haul is a big win—and this event proved that every bucket (and every volunteer) makes a difference.

Stay tuned for more cleanups and join the movement to protect our paradise—one bucket at a time.
